Children first, in writing.
What we hold, what we show, what we never do, and who to write to. Plain language, no small print.
- CONSENTNo child’s photo without the school’s recorded authorisation
A photo goes on a screen only when the school has recorded its authorisation for it, given under the parent-consent warranty in our agreement. The record names who at the school authorised it. Without it, the celebration still shows, without the photo.
- DATAWe hold what a celebration needs, and nothing else
The school profile, the screens, and the names and grades the office enters to show a birthday or an achievement. No marks, no attendance, no behaviour records, no contact details on any screen.
- SHARINGNever sold, never shared
Student information is never sold, never shared with third parties, and never used for advertising. A take-home card goes to the child’s class teacher, to send home with the child; it goes to no one outside the school.
- TRACKINGNo per-child tracking
We do not measure individual children. There are no engagement scores, no dashboards about a child, no profiles. What we count is what ran on which screen, so the school can see the record.
- ACCURACYChecked against named sources, and corrected openly
Every fact on a screen is checked before it is published. A school can flag any line; corrected text goes back through the same check, and we keep a record of what ran on each screen each day.
- CONTROLThe school decides what appears
Nothing about the school or its children appears that the office did not add. The office can take any item off the wall.
- ACCESSCalm on purpose
Screens respect reduced-motion settings, show nothing that flashes, and carry no sound.
- CONTACTOne address for any question
Privacy, consent, a correction, something to remove: write to hello@thediscoverywall.com and a person answers.
